Representation of a real estate owner-developer in a contract dispute with a steel framed modular contractor/manufacturer related to the development of a new 12-story multi-family residential building in Providence, Rhode Island. The contractor alleged payments owed for design and early manufacturing work, and the owner alleged improper billing practices and sought reimbursement of overpayments. Through a process of pre-suit negotiation, both parties agreed to a mutually beneficial settlement.
