Press Release
April 18, 2016

MIAMI, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce Real Estate Partner Martin A. Schwartz was named a Fellow to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). With fewer than 50 ACREL Fellows in Florida, the exclusive invitation for membership is reserved for distinguished lawyers contributing to the improvement of real estate law, and those who have practiced for more than a decade.

The election of the College's Class of 2016 followed a rigorous screening process. Elected members had to satisfy the College's stringent membership criteria and receive the favorable recommendations of College members.

Founded in 1978, ACREL embraces lawyers notable for their high standards and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law. Fellows contribute to the education and camaraderie of members and address issues related to real estate law and practice.

With a practice focus encompassing all aspects of commercial real estate, including representing developers, lenders, landlords and tenants, Marty's experience includes commercial real estate finance, acquisition and disposition of commercial projects and structuring and documenting condominium projects. In addition, he is a member of the Condominium and Planned Unit Development Committee and the Commercial Real Estate Committee, of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar.

Marty was recently featured in the Real Estate Forum's 2015's national Annual Deal and Dealmakers for his representation of Miami Design District Associates, in a $590 million financing for the $2.2 billion Miami Design District redevelopment project. He has also been recognized by legal publications including Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America and South Florida Legal Guide. He has also received the "Top Dealmaker of the Year" award from the Daily Business Review for the last two consecutive years.
