Melissa Pallett-Vasquez Appointed as Vice Chair of the Food, Agriculture & Cannabis Committee of the ABA International Law Section
MIAMI, FL- Bilzin Sumberg congratulates Litigation Partner, Melissa Pallett-Vasquez, on her appointment as Vice Chair of the Food, Agriculture & Cannabis Committee of the American Bar Association's International Law Section.
Melissa currently serves as the Liaison Officer of the ABA Section of International Law and previously served as a Division Chair.
As Vice Chair, Melissa will take an active role in developing and approving the Committee's Business Plan, developing and recommending projects or activities that demonstrate the Committee's expertise, engaging committee members, and contributing to the Section's role as a worldwide leader in the practice of international law.
Melissa Pallett-Vasquez is a seasoned trial lawyer who handles complex business disputes in both federal and state courts, as well as arbitration. Melissa handles class action defense work with an emphasis on consumer products and consumer class claims, including those related to the food & beverage industries, deceptive labeling, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and consumer products. She also represents clients in a number of areas, including contracts, partnership and joint venture agreements, and defense of intentional tort claims. Melissa has been listed in Florida Trend's Legal Elite since 2007 and has also been recognized by Chambers USA, Florida Super Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation, and The Best Lawyers in America.
