AFP Miami Honors Bilzin Sumberg for Its Community Engagement
AFP is a national organization with over 30,000 members in 200 chapters throughout the world. Their Miami chapter, founded in 1975, is well-known for hosting one of the first National Philanthropy Days, now in its 36th year. AFP fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.

The year-round program reaches its culmination in Bilzin Sumberg Cares Day, when all the firm's employees participate in a day of philanthropic service for a local organization.
Additionally, the firm is a strong proponent of pro bono work, contributing roughly 1,479 hours in 2022. Each year, the firm holds its Matters of the Heart Pro Bono Awards to recognize the attorneys who placed an emphasis on pro bono services. Recent awardees and honorees have ranged from those who have worked on the guardianship of vulnerable minors, to working for a local non-profit that houses homeless women and children in its building redevelopment, to participating in a law firm coalition that works for gun control and against gun violence.
