Bilzin Sumberg Participates In Hands on Miami's 4th Annual Service Juris Day

Miami, FL. On Saturday, May 2, 2009,The law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP proudly participated and sponsored Hands on Miami's Fourth Annual Service Juris Day.

Bilzin Sumberg attorneys, staff and their families offered their time and service as part of the Bilzin Sumberg Cares initiative, an employee-based community volunteer program. Bilzin Sumberg Cares was conceived in 2007 and sprang from the firm's commitment to the positive development of the community, to benefit the south Florida community.

Hosted by Hands On Miami, Service Juris Day is a one-day community service project that engages the Miami-Dade county lawyers, judges, publicists, and other members of the legal community, in a meaningful service project. This year, volunteers worked to transform the Children's Courthouse and Juvenile Justice Center, and Miami Dade Regional Juvenile Detention Center by adding vibrant color, new toys and furniture, enhancing gardens and increasing workspace. The Bilzin Sumberg team was tasked with painting the Children's Courthouse.

Bilzin Sumberg's commitment to the community and Hands On Miami extends far beyond the office, stemming from a genuine desire to better the people and places around it. Through the Bilzin Sumberg Cares initiative, the firm has taken a strong leadership position in giving back to the community through active volunteer service.
