Press Release
September 14, 2015
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg announced today that Real Estate attorney Karyl Argamasilla was selected by the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade as a recipient of their "Mujeres Giving Back Time" award. The award honors a Hispanic woman who demonstrates outstanding commitment to their respective communities by volunteering time in support of non-profit organizations and encourages other Hispanic women to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement to improve Miami-Dade County.
Karyl has quickly emerged as a leader in the community as a result of her commitment to philanthropy and her dedication to mentoring the next generation. She serves as Commercial Real Estate Women-Miami's (CREW-Miami) Immediate Past President and is an active member of the organization's community educational programs, including UCREW and the CREW-Miami's Careers Program. Karyl spearheaded the inaugural CREW-Miami Careers Winter Symposium, where she led and moderated a panel of women leaders in the commercial real estate industry who spoke to the senior class of the YMCA about careers in the CRE field and mentoring opportunities.
Karyl focuses her practice on structuring and executing large commercial real estate transactions. She represents national and local developers, lenders, landlords, tenants, sellers, and purchasers in engagements such as acquisition, disposition and operation of property, development, financing, loan restructuring, leasing, condominium documentation and general corporate matters. As a bilingual Hispanic attorney, she has excelled at developing strong business relationships with Hispanic clients, as well as forging new relationships with an international clientele.
Karyl is actively involved in United Way of Miami-Dade, and was recently appointed to the Women's Leadership Council Executive Committee for the 2015-2016 term. She also serves as the chapter's Vice-Chair of Women's Leadership, is a member of their Young Leaders and was a member of their Policies and Procedures Task Force in 2013. In 2014, Karyl was selected as one of "Tomorrow's Leaders" by Real Estate Forum and received the CREW Miami "Miami Star Award." Karyl has been consistently recognized by legal publication, Florida Super Lawyers as a Florida Rising Star.
She will accept the award during a luncheon being held on November 6, 2015 at Jungle Island.
