Dade County Bar Association Recognizes Two Bilzin Sumberg Partners
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is proud to announce Stanley B. Price and Albert E. Dotson, Jr. were recognized by the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) as 2016 "Legal Luminaries." The awards, which were based on majority vote by members of the DCBA in good standing with The Florida Bar, were presented at the July 29th ceremony.
Stanley B. Price, chair of the Firm's Land Development & Government Relations Practice Group, received the award in the category of Zoning & Land Use. Practicing for more than 45 years, Stanley has worked in the forefront of Florida land use law, and was the principal draftsman of important land use legislation. In addition to representing clients in land use, Stan works extensively with government and regulatory agencies, developers and landowners to examine, interpret and establish land use policy. In 2005, Stan was honored for his dedication to the industry by being inducted into the BASF Hall of Fame for a lifetime of achievement. In 2011, Stan was awarded the Al Singer Spirit of the Industry Award in recognition of his career excellence and great counsel.
Albert E. Dotson, Jr, the Firm's Land Development & Government Relations Practice Group Leader, received the award in the category of Lobbying & Government Relations. Al represents high-profile clients in government contracts and public-private partnership matters, including the Miami Dolphins, All Aboard Florida, G4S, CH2M, and AnsaldoBreda. In 2015, he was honored as the recipient of the 2015 Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Salute to Miami's Leaders Award in the category of Legal/Law. Al holds leadership positions in several civic and charitable organizations, including United Way of Miami-Dade, The Orange Bowl Committee, Miami Dade College Foundation, 100 Black Men of America, and Alonzo Mourning Charities/Mourning Family Foundation.
