Melissa Pallett-Vasquez Listed in Benchmark Litigation 2016 "Under 40 Hot List"
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg announced today the inclusion of Litigation Partner Melissa C. Pallett-Vasquez in the inaugural edition of the Benchmark Litigation "Under 40 Hot List." This new accolade honors achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners of the age of forty (40) or younger. Through a process of peer review and case examination, this list has been compiled over a process of many months to assemble a collection of young, up-and-coming attorneys.
As a Partner in the Litigation Group, Melissa handles complex commercial litigation matters, arbitrations, and class action defense work with an emphasis on the consumer products and food & beverage industries. She represents clients in a number of areas including real estate-related contracts, partnership and joint venture agreements, defense of intentional tort claims, internal investigations and intellectual property litigation. Melissa has substantial courtroom experience, including numerous federal and state trials, as well as international and domestic arbitrations, and in certain cases, appeal.
Melissa has significant ties in Canada, and her fluency in French is particularly helpful in assisting her international clients with their legal needs in the South Florida business community. In addition to her involvement with various professional organizations, Melissa is the Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Section of International Law Canada Committee. She is a frequent speaker at various domestic and internationally oriented Litigation events.
