Jennifer J. Wioncek Inducted as a Fellow of the Esteemed American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”)
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce that Jennifer J. Wioncek has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”).
ACTEC is a professional organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence, and experience as trust and estate counselors.
As a Partner in the firm's Tax & Private Wealth Services Group, Jennifer's primary practice focuses on domestic and international trust and estate planning. She advises high-net-worth individuals, family offices and trust companies on both domestic and international trust and estate planning matters, and multijurisdictional estate administration matters. Jennifer also handles pre-immigration planning, expatriation planning, cross-border business structuring and succession planning, and advising on the acquisition, maintenance, and sale of U.S. real estate by foreigners.
Jennifer is an active speaker in the community, focusing on international tax planning issues, and is a long-time adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law Tax LL.M. program, where she teaches multiple classes in the area of trusts and estates. She has been recognized as a leading tax, trusts and estates lawyer, and is ranked in Chambers High Net Worth Guide, is recognized as a “Power Woman” attorney by Citywealth, and has been consistently recognized by Florida Super Lawyers and others.
Jennifer received her LL.M. from New York University, and her J.D. from St. Thomas University, graduating magna cum laude. She also earned an M.S. degree from St. Thomas University and graduated magna cum laude from St. Leo University with her B.A.
Individual lawyers meeting the criteria for ACTEC membership are nominated by Fellows of the College and are subjected to careful review by both state and national membership selection committees prior to consideration by the regents of the College. Fellows are selected based on experience, professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.
