Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce that Real Estate attorney, Mamie Joeveer, has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Miami City Ballet (MCB). For nearly 40 years the organization has trained young aspiring dancers and produced high-level dance performances presented throughout Florida and abroad. Mamie previously served on the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors for the world-class artistic institution from 2016 to 2020.

Mamie’s involvement with MCB has provided an opportunity for her to oversee the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and support the organization’s community engagement programs. The Ballet Bus program, a program that Mamie has been particularly active in, provides 10-year long training scholarships designed to support equity in dance. Her commitment to Miami City Ballet has also shown through her service as a host committee member for the Miami City Ballet Gala, and as an advisor and member of MCB’s Diversity Steering Committee.

Mamie focuses her practice on representing lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers in commercial real estate transactions. She handles the acquisition, financing, and development of multi-family, office, industrial and mixed-use properties. In addition to negotiating construction loans, mortgage and mezzanine financing on behalf of her clients, Mamie frequently advises clients on commercial leasing transactions and franchising matters, allowing her to serve as a multifaceted resource to owners, developers, and financial players operating in the real estate industry.
