Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce that Salomé Bascuñan has been named a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow for 2023. Designed for lawyers with eight to 15 years of experience, this landmark intensive year-long professional development program connects high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel, managing partners and their peers for mentoring and career guidance.

"With her steadfast commitment to diversity and a more inclusive legal profession, I know Salomé will take advantage of this opportunity to expand her leadership skills,” said Bilzin Sumberg Managing Partner Albert E. Dotson, Jr. “Salomé continues to show what’s needed in a leader, and I am confident that she will continue to inspire others.”

Selected by general counsel and managing partners at LCLD Member corporations and law firms, the LCLD Fellows participate in training sessions and have opportunities to interact with key legal and business leaders of large U.S. corporations, as well as managing partners from the country’s most prestigious law firms.

LCLD President Robert J. Grey Jr. noted, “Since its inception in 2011, the LCLD Fellows program has produced some of the most impactful leaders in our industry.” He added, “I am pleased to see so many talented individuals - 452 of them - being recognized for their accomplishments.”

Over the years, the LCLD Fellows program has built a reputation for helping to launch participants into top legal positions, with a substantial number of Fellows alumni becoming leaders within their organizations. Fellows have distinguished themselves from others by being deeply engaged, indispensable to key clients and teams, invested in attorney mentoring and professional development, and on a trajectory toward leadership positions.

Salomé is a real estate attorney who thrives on the intensity and collaboration needed to close a real estate deal. She has broad transactional experience representing institutional lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers in commercial real estate transactions. She handles acquisitions, financing, and development of commercial projects such as hotel, multi-family, office, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties. Salomé is also experienced in the preparation and negotiation of construction agreements and professional design agreements.
