Scott Wagner Recognized as a 2024 Power Leader in Corporate Philanthropy
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is proud to announce that Trial & Litigation Partner Scott Wagner has been honored as a 2024 Power Leader in Corporate Philanthropy by South Florida Business Journal. This prestigious accolade is awarded to professionals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to philanthropy, particularly in their efforts to uplift the most vulnerable segments of the South Florida community. Scott has been recognized for his significant contributions to the Miami Children’s Museum in his role as President, a testament to his commitment to fostering educational and developmental opportunities for children.
"We are incredibly proud of Scott and his unwavering dedication to giving back to the community," said Al Dotson, CEO & Managing Partner of Bilzin Sumberg. "His active engagement with Miami Children’s Museum not only reflects his personal values but also embodies our firm's commitment to social responsibility. Scott's recognition as a Power Leader in Corporate Philanthropy serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the impactful role we can all play."
During Scott’s tenure as President, the Children’s Museum embarked on a multi-million dollar transformation of its outdoor space, which expands the reach of the Museum and allows families to take advantage of the Florida sunshine as part of the Museum experience. The Museum also developed two new traveling exhibits. Scott is also a founding member of the Cultural Chair Consortium-Miami Dade, a group dedicated to advocating on behalf of Miami’s diverse museums and cultural institutions.
In addition to his philanthropic efforts, Scott maintains a thriving antitrust and complex litigation practice. Through Scott’s leadership, the Bilzin Sumberg Antitrust Group recently secured the largest-ever verdict for an antitrust opt-out plaintiff in the history of the United States in the Capacitors price-fixing litigation. He currently represents major opt-out plaintiffs in the Broiler Chickens and Pork price-fixing litigations. Scott’s international practice includes representing electronics distributors and manufacturers, as well as food and beverage companies, throughout the world. Locally, Scott serves as a trusted advisor to public and private companies, elected officials, and entrepreneurs.
Scott’s practice is consistently recognized by leading publications such as Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, Florida Super Lawyers, and South Florida Legal Guide. He was recently named to Lawdragon’s List of the 500 Leading Litigators in America.
