Scott N. Wagner Announced as Chair-Elect of the Federal Bar Association Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section

MIAMI, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP is pleased to announce that Litigation partner Scott N. Wagner was elected to the Federal Bar Association Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section. Scott will serve as Chair-Elect from 2014-2016, and will assume his position as Chair in 2016. The Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section is one of the largest sections of the Federal Bar Association with a membership of nearly 1,000 lawyers. The Section seeks to improve the understanding and practice of antitrust and trade regulation law. The Section sponsors seminars and offers comment on legislation and procedural improvements impacting the civil and criminal antitrust practice; class actions and arbitrations; enforcement exemptions and immunities; mergers and monopolies; premerger notification and remedies; and activities of the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice.
Scott focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on antitrust actions involving price-fixing, conspiracy claims, monopolization, tying, market allocation and predatory pricing claims. He has represented clients in federal multidistrict class actions, opt-out actions, multiple state class actions and international arbitrations, including those involving antitrust, intellectual property, products liability and qui tam matters. Scott has also served as legal counsel to a large national trade association, advising on antitrust, intellectual property and general commercial business issues.
Scott regularly writes and speaks on topics in antitrust law, e-Discovery and legal project management. Scott also serves on the Leadership of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law Civil Redress Committee, and on the American Bar Association Pre-Trial Practice and Discovery Committee on e-Discovery.
Scott has been recognized by legal publications such as Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Super Lawyers.
