Melissa Pallett-Vasquez Reappointed Co-Chair of ABA Canada Committee
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce Litigation Partner Melissa Pallett-Vasquez has been reappointed co-chair of the Canada Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law.
As co-chair, Melissa is responsible for the basic operations of the committee and will utilize the committee's expertise for special projects such as seasonal programs and forums. Melissa's yearlong term, her third as co-chair, begins August 10, 2017.
Melissa, a joint Canadian-American citizen, is fluent in French as well as Spanish. She handles complex commercial litigation matters as well as domestic and international arbitrations, and appeals. She represents clients in a number of areas including real estate-related contracts, partnership and joint venture agreements, defense of intentional tort claims, and class action defense work.
Melissa has been named a Top Attorney under 40 by Benchmark Litigation, South Florida Business Journal, and the Daily Business Review. She has also been distinguished as a Benchmark Litigation Local Litigation Star, Florida Super Lawyers Florida Rising Star, and Florida Trend's Legal Elite.
Melissa is president of the South Florida Chapter of the McGill Alumni Association and has been a Volunteer Attorney Ad Litem for 12 years with Lawyers for Children America.
