Bilzin Sumberg’s Green Initiative Hosts Beach Clean-Up at Haulover Park
MIAMI, FL – On November 3, Bilzin Sumberg’s Green Initiative organized a beach clean-up for its attorneys, staff, and their families in partnership with VolunteerCleanup.Org at Haulover Park in Miami-Dade County. The gathering represented the fourth beach clean-up hosted by Bilzin Sumberg for its employees in recent years. Prior to breaking out into groups to collect waste along the Haulover Park shoreline, participants were educated about the County’s marine ecosystem, the harmful effects of plastic waste and micro-plastics, and the significant impacts of their clean-up efforts by coordinators from VolunteerCleanup.Org.
Over the course of several hours, dozens of Bilzin Sumberg employees and their families collected over 100 pounds of garbage, underscoring the critical need for increased citizen engagement and responsible stewardship of the coastline and the wider local environment.
“We had more than 40 volunteers come out on Sunday morning which speaks volumes to our firm's culture and each person's dedication to preserving our local eco-system.
